Doing God’s Work in Our Neighborhoods

Doing God’s Work in Our Neighborhoods

This series has posed the question, “Am I a neighbor to those whom God has placed in my path?”  God has called each Christian to minister to the needs of those whom He has placed in our path with the goal of meeting their ultimate need, their need for a relationship with God through Christ.  In Luke 10:30-36 we learn from the Good Samaritan, how to be a true neighbor.  First, a true neighbor looks at others with a genuine interest. Second, a true neighbor looks on the needs of others with compassion, not disdain.  Third, a true neighbor seeks to meet the needs that he has discovered.  Fourth, a true neighbor commits himself until his neighbor is fully healed.  God has a great work for us to do in our neighborhoods!  May this message help you to accomplish God’s work among your neighbors!
