Give Me This Mountain

Joshua 14 opens with Joshua dividing the land among the tribes of Israel by lot, but when Joshua came to Judah, Caleb had an important request, “Give me this mountain.”  Caleb’s name means “Whole-Hearted (Col-lev; whole-heart).  Twice the text tells us that Caleb “wholly followed the LORD” (14:9, 14).  In this message we’ll learn how to emulate Caleb’s whole-hearted devotion to God.
