Joyful Fellowship With God

Joyful Fellowship With God

This study is for those who’ve found forgiveness through Christ, but they continue to be burdened with guilt and despair. The more they try to do right, the more aware of their sinfulness they become, and the more their guilt increases. So does their fear. “Will God cast me away?” “Will He forgive the same sin, again, and again, and again?” “If I continue to sin, does that mean I was never truly saved?”

If you’ve thought this, you are not alone. Most Christians have struggled with these thoughts throughout all of church history up to the present day.

What we will learn through this study of 1 John is the harmonization of two truths, our relationship with God (our position) and our fellowship with God (our condition). We’ll learn that while we can begin a relationship with God in one transaction of faith, but we must learn how to maintain fellowship with God in our sinful condition.

As we learn the distinction between our relationship with God and our fellowship with God, we will find deliverance from our burden of guilt and fear and begin to enjoy Joyful Fellowship with God!
